Produced by Pops & Poolboy and co-written by Olivia Ridgely, Theo’s longtime collaborators and friends, the song emerged from a writing session where he was processing a difficult personal moment. "I wrote 'Oh, My Lanta!' because I knew everybody could relate to that one person in your life that your soul feels tied to in a way that doesn't escape you," says Theo Day. "Everybody has that one person that could just level you with their presence, and that's what she is to me. I just wanted people to relate to that helplessness."
The lyrics revisit old memories, family dinners, and the lingering impact of a past relationship, while the production transforms heartbreak into release through explosive choruses and undeniable energy.
"It was one of those songs that just fell into my lap. I sat down one day feeling a little down about a situation, and I tried to make it more positive while staying true to my emotions, which created this interesting contrast of upbeat, exciting music with deep emotional lyrics."
