Bella Galasso Releases New EP Bury These Questions

The Montreal-based artist’s latest project explores insecurity, unanswered questions, and the search for peace of mind, bringing together five songs that trace the complicated conversations we have with ourselves and the people we love.

October 29, 2026 | Evergreen Music — Bella Galasso’s new EP, Bury These Questions, is out today, October 29, marking a new chapter for the Montreal-based singer-songwriter. Across five tracks, Bella turns inward, confronting the anxieties, insecurities, and lingering questions that shape how we see ourselves and understand our relationships. Honest and deeply personal, the project finds her sitting with uncertainty rather than pretending to have all the answers.

Featuring previously released singles “The Cult” and “Paperweight,” alongside the focus track “The Robber,” the EP brings together songs written at different moments in Bella’s creative journey. Together with the title track and “Greatest Love,” they form a connected body of work built around a recurring idea: sometimes the questions we ask ourselves are the hardest ones to leave unanswered.

Living With the Questions

One of the defining threads throughout Bury These Questions is the way its songs return to uncertainty. Rather than offering neat resolutions, Bella allows each track to explore a different corner of her inner world, from her relationship with herself to the vulnerability of loving someone else.

The focus track, “The Robber,” is one of the project’s most personal moments. The song explores Bella’s insecurities surrounding her body, her changing relationship with food, and the feeling that she has robbed herself of the freedom to simply live in and enjoy her own body. It confronts the ways our internal struggles can take up space in our lives, sometimes keeping us from experiencing the present as fully as we want to.

The song ultimately ends with the question, “Is this as good as I’ll ever get?” It is a sentiment that captures the EP’s central tension: the difficulty of knowing when to keep searching for something better and when to stop holding ourselves to impossible expectations.

That same vulnerability carries into “Greatest Love,” which turns the questioning outward. The song grapples with the uncertainty that can exist even within a loving relationship, asking whether the person you love sees you as the greatest love they have ever experienced. Its closing question, “Am I the greatest love you’ve had?”, leaves the listener suspended between the desire for reassurance and the discomfort of not knowing.

Bella has described “Greatest Love” as one of the most challenging songs on the EP to capture. Its crunchy guitars and eerie vocal textures give the track an unsettled atmosphere that reflects the thoughts at its centre. It also shares a close relationship with “The Cult,” which Bella considers its sister song.

From “The Cult” to a New Chapter

First released in October 2025, “The Cult” now finds a new home within Bury These Questions. Its inclusion connects the EP to an earlier moment in Bella’s catalogue while giving the song fresh context alongside “Greatest Love” and the rest of the project.

Rather than feeling like a collection of unrelated releases, the EP brings these songs into conversation with one another. Each explores a different form of emotional uncertainty, whether it comes from self-perception, romantic relationships, or the expectations we place on ourselves.

The title track, “Bury These Questions,” offers a different perspective. Bella has described the song as an internal dialogue about the questions that continue to occupy our minds and the possibility of eventually letting them go. The song’s first lines came to her while she was walking to work, and she completed it shortly afterward, making it one of the most immediate and natural moments of the writing process.

It also became one of the easier songs to finish, taking shape during the first week of work on the project. In contrast to the uncertainty explored throughout the EP, the title track introduces a small but meaningful sense of hope: perhaps not every question needs an answer, and perhaps peace can begin when we allow ourselves to move forward without one.

Finding Grounding in “Paperweight”

Released as the EP’s first single on September 17, “Paperweight” introduces another important dimension of Bella’s songwriting: the people who keep us grounded when our thoughts threaten to pull us in every direction.

Where several of the EP’s songs explore isolation within our own minds, “Paperweight” centres on connection and the comfort of having someone who helps bring us back to ourselves. Its emotional core is a recognition of the people who offer stability, reassurance, and a sense of belonging, even when we struggle to find those things internally.

Co-written by Bella Galasso, Bennett Sobel, and Olivia Ridgely at the January 2026 Evergreen Music songwriting camp, the song was further developed with producer Matt Nozetz at Avbury Studios. Backup vocals from Briaahhhna add another layer to its message, with the presence of another voice reinforcing the warmth and support at the heart of the track.

The result is a meaningful counterpoint to the EP’s more introspective moments. If Bury These Questions spends much of its time examining the thoughts that weigh on us, “Paperweight” acknowledges that we do not have to carry them alone.

A Connected Body of Work

Across its five tracks, Bury These Questions moves between difficult self-examination and the possibility of finding comfort in uncertainty. The songs are linked not only by their lyrical themes, but also by the questions they leave behind.

“The Robber” asks whether things will ever get better. “Greatest Love” questions our place in someone else's life. The title track considers whether those questions can eventually be released, while “Paperweight” offers a reminder of the people and relationships that help us find our footing. With “The Cult” completing the tracklist, the project brings together different perspectives on the insecurities and emotional patterns that can shape our everyday lives.

There is no single answer tying everything together, and that is part of what makes the project feel so personal. Bella gives these thoughts room to exist without forcing them into a tidy conclusion. The result is a collection of songs that invites listeners to recognize something of their own experiences in hers.

With Bury These Questions, Bella Galasso continues to develop a songwriting voice grounded in emotional honesty, intimate storytelling, and a willingness to explore the thoughts that are often difficult to say out loud.
